Let this be our guiding principle as we embark on the mission of PROJECT ONE4NINE DEVELOPMENT CYCLING TEAM.

Our goal is to provide a competitive cycling platform for talented underprivileged young adults, giving them the opportunity to shine in the CAT 1 road bike / gravel bike and MTB racing arena in the continental USA. Together, we can 'level playing field' where everyone has a chance to succeed and thrive. But our mission doesn't stop there. We also aim to help grow the female field in MTB and Gravel racing, empowering women to pursue their passion and achieve their dreams. So let us come together with love, determination, and a shared vision of creating a brighter future for all. No matter how small our actions may seem, they have the power to bring about positive change.

Project One4nine Development

Project One4nine Development, founded in 2023, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that seeks to level the playing field in the world of bike racing and sports. Despite the existence of rules and regulations that promote equality in these sports, bike racing remains unequal for underprivileged young adults who may possess the talent but lack the resources to compete.

To solve this problem, Project One4nine Development offers mentorship, gear, and race entries to young adults from northern Mexico and Southern California, thereby giving them an equal chance to compete at the highest level in the California road bike circuit. The project also plans to participate in the Gravel and Mountain bike arena with a team consisting of male and female racers.

The project will ensure that riders with more experience will serve as mentors, guiding their younger and less experienced teammates. Project One4nine Development aims to build momentum in 2023/24, competing in local and state-wide events. In the following seasons, the project plans to expand its reach by welcoming youth from other states, providing them with a platform to achieve their goals and become winners on an equal playing field.
